Features
Data on cracks
- The width, length, shape, 3D positional coordinates of cracks
- 2D and 3D data
Technical Improvements
- Measurement of crack width
At a distance up to (m) 1.5 5 10 30 50 ・・・ 100 ・・・ A width down to (mm) 0.007 0.022 0.044 0.132 0.221 ・・・ 0.441 ・・・ *from a right angle - Distances of 1.5 up to 1000m are measurable without a reflector.
- Compensation of collimation angle
When we see the same width from some angles, they look different.
Some of them look as they are, others thinner, as the pictures show.
This phenomena is a problem for crack inspection,From a RIGHT angle From an OBLIQUE angle

but KUMONOS automatically compensates the angle and gets the right width!!
Data Management
- The data gathered is stored in the order of acquisition with the positional coordinates.
- It is easier to make models of a bridge, wall, weir, building and an arched structure like a tunnel.
Elevation, development, plan and 3D model are available.
Wide Inspection Range
- Structures like the followings can be inspected by KUMONOS.
- Buildings, bridge piers, retaining walls, dams, tunnels, concrete pavements and other concrete structures.
- These places are no longer a problem.
- Dangerous and inaccessible places
like where a busy street or river runs in front of the objects. - Places where scaffold and a man-lift truck are not available.
- Dangerous and inaccessible places
Reductions
- The gap between the real object and the data acquired.
The gap range by old method ・・・ 18mm to 72.5mm
approx. 1/30 at the max!! by new method
with KUMONOS・・・ 1.8mm to 2.5mm - The labor of tracing
- Injury risks
It's because it is not necessary to work at an elevated place. - Cost
Scaffold, a man-lift truck and the labor to prepare them are not necessary.
Other Advantages
- Easy to keep track of cracks change across the ages.
- Efficient analysis of structure endurance
- Prepare proper repair plans
-
Efficient asset management etc
